Windows 10: WiFi Icon - WiFi condition/functonality downgraded in Windows 11

I had a recent interruption in cable modem connection. Comcast is looking into and expect to be back by 6AM PST.In Windows 11, Internet icon no longer shows anything wrong, when internet connection is down. It shows healthy if it can connect to the Wi-Fi router.I had to use my phone to connect, but also found it difficult to find where the Wi-Fi SID option was.The whole Windows 11 experience has been a downgrade. This has not been the only problem. Taskbar functionality is also a problem for me.

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

No WIFI icon in windows 10

So today when playing games, I noticed that the WIFI icon showed me that I am not connected to the internet, but I was still able to browse the internet. I used task manager to restart Explorer, and the WIFI icon disappeared completely. I tried disabling then enabling the driver, but nothing happened. What do I do to fix this problem? If I press the Network Icon in the action centre, it shows the network window, but it doesn't list the wifi networks.

 

TEW-652BRP wifi question

Nothing changed so I installed the Dlink software instead of the Windows 7 integrated one for wireless and now it stays at 150. The thing is that the icon of wifi windows and wifi dlink are both telling its connected. What is the path to go uncheck the Windows by default ?
