Windows 10: WiFi Internet Connection Drop From Random Time

Hi All,I have received a report that the internet connection is drop from time to time. And when I checked the WLANReport, I found that there is a change reason with"ChangeReason: CapabilityReset". Internet Connection Keeps Dropping


I appreciate that this is a common Internet topic but I simply can't find a solution. Before upgrading from Windows 7 to 10 I ran the check which advised that my system is compatible and then updated it. Everything ran fine for about a day, but since then my Wifi Internet connection keeps dropping after 10 to 20 minutes of running. The Wifi connection still shows as connected during the majority of the drops, but access is not there. After a random period of time Internet access will resume again only to drop off after around 10 minutes.

I have gone through every device in Device Manager and checked that I have the latest drivers installed. I have also turned off the options for devices to disconnect when not in use under the Power Saving options. At my wits end here so any advice would be appreciated.

 

Internet connection randomly dropping through WiFi connection


Dear all,
I generally have good WiFI connection, but in two rooms so I am running a TP-Link system for Wifi through my powernet, which provides me with WiFI in our working space. No problems here.
I have been noticing that on my laptop, when I sit in the living space, my internet connection is dropping WITHOUT losing connection to the WiFi network. This makes me reset my adapter but mostly without succes. Sometimes it spontaneously regains internet connectivity. This happens at random (to me). My cell phone doesn't have the same problem, nor does my GF's computer.
I notice that when i go back to the workspace (where wifi is distributed through my TP-link), more often then not I instantly regain connection. Which makes me think this is a problem of IP adress that is different when switching from Wifi through router and Wifi through TP-link?

Hello, are you always connected to the same router - or are you skipping to others? Suggest disabling these settings:




Also check your channel is not congested, and signal strength is adequate. There are freeware tools which can show you this information.

You might have to change band (frequency) - and in one scenario where someone was renting a place it was suggested the owner was restricting Wifi bandwidth...!

I'm sure others more experienced in these issues will comment.
