  1. Wifi is bad when conected to new desktop computer

I recently got my first desktop computer windows 11 and its having major trouble conecting to the wifi that has worked just fine with all other devices. Its signal is very low and causes major lagspikes when streaming or trying to play games. Is there anything i can do to fix it? Ehernet is curently off the table because im in a spot thats extreamly hard to run a cable to and i cant move the computer either

    :)

    WIFI

    Hello varunaiyappa,

Thank you for posting in the forum.

I understand you have an issue to conect your phone to a Wifi network.

You can try to turn off WIFI, and then turn it On again.

Maybe your phone is too far from the Wifi network, try to conect your phone closer to the point, to determine if this is the issue.

Are you able to conect your phone to others Wifi networks ?

here a link that list the steps to conect the phone to a WIFI network :

Let us know if this helps.

    Regards,

Recommendation for WiFi usb / card

If you have a desktop computer I would STRONGLY suggest a PCIe adapter rather than a USB adapter if you go with WiFi 6. The only USB WiFi adapters that I have seen thus far use a Realtek chipset which is reported to have some serious flaws. In my own personal experience, I have tried 2 of these and returned both, getting performance worse than other WiFi 5 adapters and constant disconnects even 10 feet from my WiFi router.

If you go with a USB adapter, I would suggest a quality WiFi 5 adapter.

One more note: Should you decide to go with a WiFi 6 PCIe adapter, I would suggest a WiFi 6e model. They actually cost no more, and they are one step up just in case you ever go to a WiFi 6e router.
