Windows 10: Wifi is Running 10x slower than Ubuntu.

The wireless connection on my windows os is sitting around 5mbps download, however the same system is sitting around speeds of 50mbps when booted into ubuntu.

I'm using an Asus PCE-AC56 wifi card. I have updated the drivers, switched performance mode on, and limited the amount of bandwidth the os itself can use but still not having much luck.

Has anyone had a similar problem, or any advice on things to try?

Ubuntu Help? Drivers for WiFi and Graphics, etc.

I'm looking to install Ubuntu on my 4th rig (one of two dedicated WCG crunchers), an X58 with a Xeon X5670 @ 4,2 Ghz. My 30 day windows trial has ended, lol

So, finding Ubuntu OS is no problem, but I'm looking for drivers for:

• USB Drivers for the motherboard?
• Rosewill RNX-N300UB USB Wifi Dongle
• NV GT 220 Graphics Card
• And Teamviewer for Ubuntu

...I think that's it. Where to go? I'm a complete Ubuntu NooB!

 

Game run slower on win10 1803 build.

Hi.

I own dell Vostro 5568 Intel(R) Core(TM) I5-7200U CPU 2.5 GHz 2.7GHz

SSD 255GB and Intel HD 520 - NVIDIA 940MX.

since the last windows update a game I play started to run slower and when I say slower I mean like the character movements are slower like an fps drop.

I got all the updates from dell site also for my graphic card.

I optimized my win10 to max performance.

i added the game to the list in Nvidia control panel and made it to run for performance only.

Power Settings are on Performance as well but game still run slower. it did run better on the 1709 build but I can't go back since I made fresh install of the 1803 build.

any suggestions?

Why bother with last Windows 10 Update as the the new Edge Browser is worthless 10x slower than Google Chrome?

Last night, Microsoft forced a major upgrade to my Windows 10 and I wonder why do we even bother as the new Edge Browser is worthless and 10x slower than Google Chrome?
