Windows 10: Wifi Issues Not Appearing and Random Disconection

Whenever I connect to my Wifi, the wifi icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen appears like this:I am not sure as to why this is happening. Also, the wifi will disconnect randomly and, as the password won't save for same reason, I have to manually re-enter the password, which takes some time as it is long. How could I fix these issues. P.S. I have installed the latest updates

We suggest you to check and download the latest available updates for your computer. To do that, follow the steps below:

• Click Windows icon.
• Click search icon.
• Type Settings.
• Click Update and Security.
• On Windows tab, click Check for Updates.
• The computer will look for available updates, once detected an updates, kindly download them.
  

If downloading updates does not resolve the issue, you may manually download it using Internet Explorer through this
link.

Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch

Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.

1. Incorrect Wi-Fi settings.

2. Corrupt or outdated Wireless network driver.

Method 1:

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to install latest Wi-Fi driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps. If Windows 10 driver is not available, then install latest driver in compatibility
mode.

To install the Wireless network driver in compatibility mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps.

a. Download the latest Wireless network driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

b. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and
select latest Windows version from the drop down list.

e. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
