    Wifi keeps dropping to 0kbps


    I have been having issues with my internet connection. It frequently drops to 0kbps for maybe 3 seconds at a time. When I say frequently I mean every 10 seconds it does this. This issue doesn't happend to any other device connected to my router. It is only my computer. For this reason I don't think it is a problem with the router, but is a problem with my pc. I also use a wifi usb adapter to connect to the internt. I have tried troubleshooting and it detects no problems. I am fairly new to computers as I just made my first one so I don't really know what else to do. If someone can help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    WiFi keeps dropping out (on laptop only)

    As mentioned above, check that the network adapter is not set to turn off in Power Managment.

    Right-click > Properties > Configure > Power Management

    If your signal is dropping, it could be interference, the channel is being heavily used in you area, etc.

    That's why I suggested the steps to check.

    I would also check the router logs, and the Windows Event Logs for clues.

    That's how you start finding out.

    WIFI Keeps dropping

    I performed the steps in the recommendation and I'm not dropping Wifi connections as much as I was. It will disconnect a couple of times a day as compared to every 20 minutes before. So it helped but hasn't completely fixed my problem.
