Windows 10: Wifi Logo disappears in pop up menu when network goes down

every once in a while my internet will go down, or I'll change locations and my WIFI will not enable unless I restart my computer. I find this annoying... typically I would click on the icon in the task bar wired globe which signifies there's no internet. When I look into the pop up menu only the Bluetooth, airplane mode and a couple other icons will show. the WIFI menu never does. I don't believe I should have to restart my computer to get on my hotspot. i should just be able to select the network. Why does the WIFI disappear when i lose the network and not able to toggle to a new net

Windows10: all menu text disappeared! Help!

Something is wrong with my Windows 10. A few days ago, all menu text disappeared! Initially, reboot the system would resolve the issue. But now reboot the system doesn't help at all. I tried to reset the system yesterday, it doesn't work either.

For example, if you click on the network button on the right bottom corner, a list of available wifi networks will be displayed. But what I get is only a list of the wireless icons, all the network names are disappeared.

However, if I login as a different user (Administrator), the menu text are back.

Any suggestions?

Wifi disappears from abailable networks

Hi,

We suggest you to run the Network Troubleshooter to check if what is causing the issue. To do that, follow the steps below:

• Click Windows icon.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• Click Network and Internet.
• Click Internet Connections.
• A box will open, click Next to proceed with the troubleshooter.
  

If the issue still persists, you may get in touch with your device manufacturer to check for updated driver.

"WiFi- Show Available Networks" does not list wireless routers anymore

I'm experiencing the same issue with my Acer netbook that recently had a Windows 10 update (the initial upgrade to Win 10 worked fine, but a recent update broke it), and it has nothing to do with the network adapter or wifi - the problem is that the list
is not popping up from the Windows notification area. It briefly seems to try to pop up with a blank list, then goes away. I'm experiencing the same thing when going to the Start menu and trying to shut down - the list pops up for a millisecond, then disappears.
I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut down that way.

I've already tried running the Microsoft Start Menu troubleshooting tool, but that did not fix the issue.
