Windows 10: Wifi modem works only for a few minutes then resets by itself whenever I'm using my Dell...

This doesn't happen when I'm using my phone or ipad. This happens only when I connect my laptop to the wifi. But when the internet goes out, the video chat in messenger and zoom meeting on my phone or laptop is still working while other apps that require internet get disconnected. My other devices indicate that they're disconnected from the internet

• If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.

Connecting Wifi to modem

Hello.

I am Trying to connect a Dell XPS 10 Tablet running windows rt to my modem but keep getting a authentication error and will not connect.

i have reset all settings on my modem to factory,have uninstalled the driver for the network adapter and reinstalled but still nothing.

I am successful at connection the tablet to my smart phone using tethering with no problems at all.

the smart phone is connected to the wifi coming from the modem.

I must be missing a step somewhere and can not figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Which Wifi Modems Work Great with Spectrum?

Not a modem issue, more of an issue with the device that you are using and trying to connect back to the WIFI Access Point. It is all about placement of the Access Point, channel, etc..
