Windows 10: Wifi Network Adapter constantly resetting

The problem is just as described. This could be annoying for a number of reasons. For me particularly, I use the pc hotspot as it is useful since my router is on the complete another side of my house and my wifi using devices have a better signal near the pc. However, since the hotspot requires wifi to create the hotspot when my wifi adapter disconnects, it also shuts off my hotspot, causing me to have to come over and turn it on again. I do know a few things


- It's not my windows build. Version 1703 is the most stable version and that is what I'm currently using


- I'm pretty sure its the adapter itself and not the hotspot because I actually once witnessed the disconnection and the pc just showed as not having any wifi at all, not just the hotspot.

  Further you may also check for Windows Updates and check for updated drivers for the network adapter.
  

You will be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues with Windows Update.

Open the Network troubleshooter by following these steps:

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View All.
  

Click on “Network Adapter” troubleshooter to fix problems with
Network Adapter. Follow the on-screen directions to run this troubleshooter and restart the computer to check if this helps.

Further, you may reset the winsock settings and check if this helps:

Run CMD as administrator.

In the command line type: “netsh winsock reset”.

Press Enter then restart your PC to check if this helps.
