Windows 10: Wifi network adapter/driver completely broken on Windows 11, Surface Pro 9

I'm on a Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11 and my wifi internet connection has been completely broken since about late March or early April. I've made numerous attempts to resolve the issue and none have worked.Restarting doesn't helpUnder "device manager" there is no Wifi driver listed anymore despite it being listed before, so there is no option to uninstall, update, or reinstall. These disappearances seem to happen overnight when the problem arises.I tried reinstalling these three drivers Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*, Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - WHQL - W

Windows could not find a driver for your network adapter

I have a Window Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10. My computer will not connect to my Wifi router as it normally does. I have run the troubleshooter with no luck and reset the network connections. The troubleshooter says “Windows could not find a driver
for your network adapter. There are no wifi options in the network & internet settings. The computer did a Windows update on 11/7/18 and hasnt been used since. The network adapters does not show an obvious Wifi driver in the list of options. Any advise, this
is horribly frustrating.

 

Accessing wifi on Surface Pro 3

Hi Mikel,

There are several reasons which may cause the Surface Pro 3 not to connect to the WiFi. In order for us to effectively assist you with your concern, we just have a few questions for you:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to the issue?
• Have you tried running the network troubleshooter?
• Have you tried updating the network adapter driver?
• have you tried rolling back the network adapter driver?

Network configuration broken (WiFi)

Thanks EdTittel for the suggestion, but this is a harder nut.
Full network reset doesn't resolve. In device manager, I can see all physical network adapters (Realtek for ethernet and Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 for wireless). All enabled and no warnings. But if I click on taskbar system network icon, I don't see any WiFi network in the popup. There's only airplane mode button and link to open network and internet settings. The troubleshooter in network settings doesn't find anything it could repair.

There's although one clue pointing that something is broken
Settings → Network and Internet → Change adapter options → WiFi → Rightclick menu → Diagnostics finds a problem with the driver (not fixed)
The adapter state is all OK, signal present, enabled
