Windows 10: WiFi network adapter slows down download speed

This started happening recently out of the blue and has been persistent ever since. This issue only affects my PC. All other devices on the WiFi network are unaffected.My WiFi download speeds slows down from 100Mbps to less than 5Mbps, but upload speed does not appear to be affected.Restarting the WiFi network adapter fixes this but the problem comes back pretty quick. I noticed it tends to happen when there is little to no data transfer required. e.g. I'm playing a game offline or watching a movie off the HDD. It doesn't happen in the middle of data transfer, so I can stream online continuo

Thank you for the prompt response Bernard, your efforts are greatly appreciated. Even though I had already tried some of your suggestions, I went through the list you provided, one by one, trying each with different drivers as well. Unfortunately there was no change to the problem with anything I tried. Every time I boot, I get super slow download with normal upload speed. Uninstalling the wifi adapter, and then scanning for new hardware, gets all working as I believe it should. FYI, just so you know, I also have a laptop running Win10 64bit (but Home version), and the adapter works without issues on that machine. Still trying whatever I can think of to see if I can find it. I switched the adapter from a USB3 to a USB2 port, again no change.

I also asked you for the model of your WiFi adapter detectable by Device Manager. Is the speed slow even if you move the laptop close to the router?

Slow WiFi speed on PC only

a week before the problem occurred i had just upgraded to NBN and was fine for the first few days then every device in the house slowed down after this was fixed the PC was the only device that still had very slow speeds.

Since every device was working fine with NBN and the PC was the only device have WiFi Problems i thought the Problem was with the Network Adapters so i tried using a Ethernet cord and also buy a different Network Adapter all of these solutions did not work
and still had very slow speeds.

Currently the PC speed is 0.25 mps download and 1.09mps upload while other devices are reaching speeds of 44.3 mps download and 17.1 mps upload.

If anyone has and ideas of how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated
