Windows 10: WIFI networks NOT showing after running recent Windows 11 update?

I ran a Windows update last week and no WIFI networks are showing up upon reboot.I have tried everything as per Windows support:- ran Network trouble shooter which gives an error message, see SNIPS below.- ran network Commands:Type netsh winsock reset and select Enter.Type netsh int ip reset and select Enter.Type ipconfig /release and select Enter.Type ipconfig /renew and select Enter.Type ipconfig /flushdns and select Enter.-uninstalled the network adapter and restart-unintsalled the windows update-did a network resetI

Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection





To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.





Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.

To assist you better, I like to know; are you’re able to view the WIFI network, when you scan for the available network?

I suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run network troubleshooter.

1) Press Windows key + x key and select Control panel.

2) Select Troubleshooting.

3) Select Network and Internet, click Internet Connections.

4) Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: Update network driver.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows + x, select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Right click the Network Adapter drivers.
  
• 
  Select Update driver software

Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch

Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.
