    WiFi No Internet

    Built in.

    Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG

Under Driver Details I have "athw10x.sys" and "vwifibus.sys" both under the same path.

What exactly am I supposed to do?

    Hi there

This might sound silly but I've often found if you have a load of mobile phones in the house plus smart TV's / things like Google Chrome casting devices, media servers etc which aren't often recognized by Windows networking an IP address can be "Stuck" as it's already in use. I've had sometimes Wifi not working as the network is stuck in "Identifying device" or "assigning IP address".

The easiest "Non Geeky" - I'm an old fashioned Engineer - bought up Old School --Tin Bashing etc !! - method is to turn off every internet device you have INCLUDING MOBILE PHONES (although trying to explain to anybody under about 35 years old that there is actually an OFF switch on those is probably a waste of time !!), reset modem / cable box (switch on and off) and then turn on main computer you need wifi on.

That should work --then turn on the other devices.

If you can do it use 5GHZ rather than 2.4GHZ as there's less contention on the channels - but you will need a stronger signal.

    Cheers

Thank you for the suggestion but I only have my phone connected to the WiFi, my modem is good and my plan gives me 100mb in download. I seriously doubt that's the problem.

Just tried a virus scan with Windows Defender. Scanned 50'000 items and no threats. Hopeless.

EDIT: Just tried connecting my laptop to my phone through hotspot and it gives me the same thing. It connects but No Internet.

I also get a quick popup of usoclient.exe when I turn on, what is that?

    Thanks.
