Windows 10: wifi not working after recent windows update

Wifi stopped working after recent update, namely the Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 device has a yellow exclamation mark and is not working.


My computed does not see any wifi connections, like it's not supposed to be even capable of connecting to internet via any this method.


I have tried uninstalling it, problem still persists even after it automatically reinstalls after the reboot.


I can comfortably say that issues started with the latest update, never had any similar problems before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First Windows Update, now WiFi not working properly


Thanks for sending the link. I have gone to every single step that is stated on the website, but nothing has changed. I am now on the most recent version of Windows by manually updating, but still the WiFi symbol appears after only two minutes (so strange!) and Windows Update still does not work.

 

Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch


Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.
