Windows 10: Wifi On My GF computer no longer works help

So the wifi adapter no longer allows her to access the internet even though it says connected and secured but no matter what ive tried has fixed ive tried updating her drivers manually and automatically flushing the dns and some other CMD stuff ive tried restarting pc countless time uninstalling drivers and letting the pc restart and auto install what it finds as well as restarting services in the services app as well as disabling services ive tried to change dns servers to avail ive tried tethering my phone to her pc using my hotspot works fine but cant seem to connect to our wifi when my d

Wifi not working after upgrading from Windows 7


I have just upgraded to windows 10 from Windows 7. Since doing this my wifi is no longer working. Wifi is turned on but no networks are showing. Unfortunately I only have my mobile as a hot spot to use for Internet so I can not connect an ether net cable to check if it works that way.
I had a vpn installed on my windows 7 system and read that this may be to blame. I reverted back to win 7 and uninstalled it but when I reupgraded to 10 I still have the same issue. I found the following instructions for a fix.. Fortunately – there is a solution.
"Step 1 – First things first, Right-Click the newly-reinstated Start Menu and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the drop-down menu.
Step 2 – Type out the following command, then hit the Enter key
reg delete HKCRCLSID{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
Step 3 – Enter the below command into the Command Prompt and then triumphantly hit the Enter key
netcfg -v -u dni_dne
Step 4 – Restart the PC and then double-check your wifi settings. You should now see a revived list of all of the available networks within range."
However when I try step 1 it says "error: invalid key name. Type "reg delete /?" For usage."
Any help is greatly appreciated as I will have to revert back again if I can't get it working.

 

New computer setup wifi not working

I am trying to set up a new Lenovo IdeaCentre A540 Series all-in-one running Windows 10 Home. When it was walking through the initial setup, it detected several nearby WiFi networks. I had a problem getting the mouse connected and was not able to set the WiFi network. It was turned off and back on and then, upon getting back to that step, did not detect any WiFi. In Network and Internet settings it has no WiFi adapter listed and no WiFi options anywhere. I did make sure network discovery was turned on and I checked in Device Manager that the network adapter was enabled, but it doesn’t show up anywhere but in Device Manager.

Under Network Properties, it does list WiFi and says “Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter”, status not present and connectivity disconnected. Under Device Manager I don’t see that adapter, it shows “Realtek PCle GbE Family Controller”, which appears to be the Ethernet adapter maybe? and a variety of WAN Miniports.

I’ve pretty much maxed out my knowledge here and I can’t find this exact issue when I search, so any advice would be much appreciated. Trying to help my stepdad set up to work from home during the pandemic...

Welp, now it's working. I realized I could show hidden devices in Device Manager, so I found the wireless adapter there. It was showing as not connected, so I shut down and dragged everything to another room and connected an ethernet cable, whereupon the wireless adapter started working perfectly. Maybe it was turning it off and back on the third time that worked, who knows...

 

Please help wifi is not working...

I used a file for optimizing pc and now my wifi doesnt work i cant go online!
please help what task or service i must enable to use wifi again?
if needed i can provide list of the commands from file i used
