Windows 10: Wifi pop up in task bar is not working properly

Wifi pop up in task bar is showing blank after opening as shown in image. What is the issue?

Task Bar Not Working Properly

Task bar problems:

Start menu, Cortana, Wifi, Speakers, Notifications - Left Click = spinning wheel for a bit, then nothing, then all items in task bar flicker off and back on, but nothing opens. Program icons that I've placed there do work to open the programs.

I am the main account. If I log into my wife's account, her task bar icons work.

I've tried some fixes I've found on the internet, but nothing works.

I've looked and the task bar is not locked.

I have an HP Envy27 all-in-one computer.

Any suggestions?

Task Bar Not Working Properly

I have finally found a solution that works!

Go to "Settings", "System", "Power and sleep", "Additional Power Settings", "Choose what the power buttons do", "Change settings that are currently unavailable", UNtick "Turn on fast startup (Recommended)".

Since doing this, I have not had a single glitch with my tool bar.

Thank you for using Windows 10.

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type CMD
• Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:
  
  dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  
  sfc /scannow
  
  powershell
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  
• Close the CMD window

Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
