Windows 10: WiFi question

A majority of the time on my Asus top gaming FX504 Laptop running windows 10 home, the task bar section When I check Wi-Fi it shows up my Wi-Fi is secure but there's no connection is what it says, but I have great signal strength Also lately in the network connections under Wi-Fi status it will show I have no Internet access these is completely fault Along with that If I shut off my WI fi and turn back on my computer Will not connect I normally have to shut down computer and Restart anytime there's a difference in Wi-Fi not sure if these 2 are connected but thank you for any information that may help me

Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
   
2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.
   

After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
Really hard to see any logic in this case.

• Were you able to select the hotel's WiFi connection on the phone, then put the WiFi password? To connect the phone to a WiFi connection, just go to
  Settings> Network and wireless> Wi-Fi. Select the hotel's WiFi connection name, then type the WiFi password.
• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
