  1. Wifi refusing to show up

My Windows 10 computer updated and now I'm unable to connect to my internet. It only shows up as though I am using an ethernet cable, but I am not. I have tried all the things Microsoft recommends, and it's not working.I disabled ethernet and yet it still says I'm using it. It will not allow me to connect to Wi-Fi.

    :)

Localhost (Raspberry Pi) refuses to connect to one out of two PCs on LAN (WiFi)

I am on my second attempt to set up a LAMP webserver (https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/projects/lamp-web-server-with-wordpress/3) on my LAN. The first attempt was successful until I suddenly noticed that the server refused connection to my laptop (Windows 10) - it had previously connected successfully. Eventually in desperation wiped Pi and started again, testing carefully step by step. So, having connected Pi to WiFi (ping from laptop OK), the first step is install Apache2. All well, and Apache2 Debian Default page appears on Pi's browser in response to http://192.168.1.22 (Pi's IP address). As expected.

At this stage my laptop (call it laptop1) is refused connection at that IP address. But checking on a second PC (laptop2 running XP), we connect to the Apache2 Debian Default page as expected. Laptop1, laptop2 and Pi are of course all on the same WiFi.

I have made NO other changes to Pi or to either laptop.

I conclude: The Apache installation is fine. The difficulty lies with laptop1.

Can somebody please suggest how I can track this down on laptop1? Where should I start looking? Is it a setting I have inadvertently changed? Could a dll have got corrupted?

Added later: Apache's access log shows two error codes associated with laptop1. these are 404 (not found) and 408 (Time out- sorry, previously misread 407 Proxy identification required). So why laptop1 not found?

    Thanks, John

  3. I'm online from my wifi laptop but can't connect to my home network

Nope, I've tried all the steps of all the fixes listed by Dalchina and Try3 but the problem still exists. The W10 laptop refuses to access my main W7 pc (named CG16) on my home network, although it can 'see' it, ie, it shows CG16 in the network list.
The only thing I haven't tried is Dalchina's suggestion about creating a shortcut, mainly because I'm not sure where this shortcut is supposed to be. I'm assuming it has to be on the W10 laptop but I don't understand how it could work. More info please, Dalchina, if you'd be so kind.

Daymin, sorry: I have no idea what you're trying to say.

    Wifi refusing to show up

windows 10 refuses to connect to WiFi printer

Win 10 flat out refuses to connect to my WiFi printer-->
Normally Win 10 asks for a password in order to connect to a new network, even
after the network has been set to 'forget', it again asks for a pass.
My Brother pocket jet PJ-673 printer, connects via USB cable without any problems, BUT on
connecting to Wifi, Win10 flat out refuses to connect, it never asks for password/identification code either.
In the "view all available networks box" the printer network lists, BUT Win 10 just states "Can't connect to this network". no explanation, nothing
I installed and reinstalled the correct win10 driver, which installes OK and the printer list in "Devices and printers" and is set as default..
(The same printer, on Wifi connection, is working fine on Win 7.)

Is there a check box or what ever, in Win10 to allow the connection to be made??
    Thank you for any help
