I've been having this issue for about a month now when I was still on Windows 10and I have tried a majority of the solutions that were proposed. EX: Reinstalling drivers, clean reboot, changing the settings to be more performative, upgrading to Windows 11, etc..At the current moment the internet has been at 3 bars and fluctuates between being at 3 and being at full. It often remains at 3.The internet is only slow on my PC and has been irritating to deal with as I have tried what feels like every proposed solution that I have found on this site. I'm Mohammed Shuaib, a Windows expert here to help resolve your issue and I understand from the description that you're getting low wifi signals even though you're close to wifi modem so I suggest you follow the below instructions to fix the issue.

Step 1 :

Go to the Search box next to the Windows icon.

Step 2 :

Type Troubleshoot and open it.

Step 3:

Then under Find and Fix other problems select Network Adapter

Step 4:

Click on Run Troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix issues related to the blue screen.

wifi slow on pc despite everything else running perfect

I have an older pc (Optiplex 7020) and I recently replaced my wifi router. no matter what I try (reconfiguring wifi settings, futzing with the adapter settings, full factory reset etc.) my wifi is unbearably slow. It reads as perfectly fine but it doesnt even let me open microsoft edge and make a search. im totally lost, as all of my other devices run perfectly well on the same wifi connection. please give me some insight as to what i can do.
