Windows 10: Wifi Scanning takes longer time after windows update.

Everything was good until 2023-08 Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB4023057 update.After this update WiFi scanning takes longer to scan available networks. After long wait, what I get is this..This is not the only issue.As it takes long time to scan, I close this popup or whatever it is called by clicking anywhere on the screen. Now again when i try click on this sectionit doesn't work. The popup never opens. This is not every time but it's quite frequentSo I need to go to the windows settings to see available networks. When I connect to network from settings, it

Windows 98 and ME no longer updatable...

Quite right, XP is still listed in technet. Win 98 unfortunately isn't. Windows 3.1 and 3.2 are listed though.

 

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

WiFi no longer connects after updating Windows

Hi,

I thought that may have been the case the first time it occurred so I re-installed Windows but the fault persisted, same as before, after updating Windows.

I do not get any error messages other than 'there are no WiFi networks available' after they all disappear.

Trouble Shooting Steps:

• Reboot Device
• Update Drivers
• Roll Back Drivers
• Enable and Disable device
• Change device power options such that Windows cannot turn the device off
• As mentioned I did a 2nd clean install of Windows
• Restart PC, connect to WiFi at the lock screen (connections drop and networks disappear upon logging in)
