    wifi slow on pc despite everything else running perfect


    I have an older pc Optiplex 7020 and I recently replaced my wifi router. no matter what I try reconfiguring wifi settings, futzing with the adapter settings, full factory reset etc. my wifi is unbearably slow. It reads as perfectly fine but it doesnt even let me open microsoft edge and make a search. im totally lost, as all of my other devices run perfectly well on the same wifi connection. please give me some insight as to what i can do.

    PC slow and not responding

    Hi,

    To assist you with your concern, we suggest you to run the System Maintenance Troubleshooter to check and see why your PC is running slow and unresponsive. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Select Troubleshooting. If you cant find the option, click View By and select Large Icons.
    • On the left pane, click on View All.
    • Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.
