  1. WiFi SSID doesn't appear in list for new router; connects in Linux

Old router was bricked in a power outage, and the replacement is a newer model. However, my laptop is unable to find the network. Other neighboring networks show up in the list, and I am able to connect when I boot into Linux. Changing power options/reinstalling the driver did not help. Any help would be great.

    :)

Problem Connecting Multiple Wifi Routers With Same SSID

    Hi,

I lives in Pakistan, Here main BroadBand service provider is PTCL. When they install new BroadBand internet connection, they name each router's SSID as "PTCL-BB". Surely, I can change the SSID but as we go to some other place same problem exists. I need
to use some networking manager because Windows 10 trying to connect with my neighbor's router with my router's password. I also need to configure my network manager on each startup.

I need to know is there any way to show "MAC" in network connection wizard instead of "SSID".

Again Please don't suggest me to change SSID of every router, Apologies!

    Thanks..

  3. Wifi list won´t show

WiFi SSID doesn't appear in list for new router; connects in Linux c3038856-ce75-4c37-bf71-721eeceae79d?upload=true.png

    Hi

my new aspire 5 all of a sudden stopped letting me open the wifi list, while i had the same provider it was allright but right now i have changed my provider and since i can´t see the available networks it doesn´t let me choose it.
I´ve already tried to update drivers, restart internet settings, save the new wifi mannualy to see if the computer could connect. but nothing provided results.
From what i can guess it looks like the problem is not in the connection, because i can connect in to my old wifi and also a ethernet cable but somethig is preventing the wifi list to appear.

    No Home Wifi Listed

Hello and welcome to the TenForums,

This is just a suggestion but I wonder if your home Wifi has been set up so that its SSID (the name of your wifi connection) is hidden? You would need to go into the admin section of the router by connecting to it (the router manual will show you how or it might be shown on a label and will look something like http://192.168.1.254) and make sure the SSID is visible.
