Windows 10: Wifi stops working on file right click

So at first I was confused why my wifi drops out for no reason since I had a smb share and the smb share so what I did was remove the smb share and it was still happening.
And I just realised that if I right click on a file anywhere on the C:\ drive on a usb drive or even on a smb drive just to test it i tried right clicking on the notepad open menu and it also droped my wifi network so i theorised that it was when windows is trying to check a meta of a file so i use wmic to get the description of a file and nothing happend and the wifi still worked so i was prety sure its a problem with windows explorer my wifi will dropout which is just anoying, but copying and pasting or renaming or editing didn't cause it to drop but it will drop if use the context menu, leading to the taught that righcliking will drop my wifi

And no not disconecting it its like windows forgot to respond to the wifi dongle because when I ping the wifi dongle from antother windows pc it flashes the indicator light altough no respose is recived so the other windows pc was unable to reach the laptop with the problem meaning the wifi card is fine and is a software problem so i installed the TP-Link T4U V3 driver and it didnt solve anything, and it bunndled a wps tool because the dongle has the wps button so what i tried to prove that windows forgot to respond was rightclicking while seeing for the wps popup on windows, but the wps button didnt work while i rightclick meaning windows some how didnt get the data sent by the dongle so I was confusedand yes I tried swaping ports and it still happens so i cornerd it to a software problem

Summary:
Wifi drops on right click Most likely a problem with explorer
SMB drive dosen't effect anything

After running the 10services_default.bat file wifi stopped working

Hi,

So I've been working on how to fix the start menu and cortana problem and ran into that 10services_default.bat file. I ran the batch file using command prompt, restarted my pc and the wifi stopped working.

No solutions seem to work.

Any suggestions ?

This issue could be caused when the pc is not set to discoverable over the network.

1. How are you trying to share the file?
   
2. Are you accessing the file over Bluetooth/Hotspot or over WIFI?
   

Try few of the troubleshooting below to further eliminate the cause of the issue.

Steps:

1. I suggest you to create a share folder on your computer, right click and share it with both read and write permission, and check if that helps.
   
2. You can try to check the article on

Lumia 930 WiFi stops working

Have same issue on a 930, the 920 doesnt have the issue at all so can confirm its model specific.

I can replicate the issue following the steps below. Anyone else have it following these steps?

• Restart the phone
• Connect to 2GHz wifi network (connects)
• Disconnect from wifi
• lock screen and leave it for 15 mins
• Connect to 2GHz wifi network (fails)
