Windows 10: Wifi strength icon gone from toolbar

Yet another unresolvable enigma - now wifi strength indicator that used to show on the taskbar is missing.


If there is a solution, I would prefer a simple one instead on the usual super complicated procedures of 10 steps with a guaranteed failure of Step 1. And stop making bugware, as if users had nothing to do. The time wasted on fixing bugs can be used in better ways.

Taskbar wifi connection strength

Hi,

To isolate the concern regarding the Wi-Fi strength icon, I would also suggest that we may need to update the network drivers of your computer. You may follow the steps provided earlier on this post. If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver.
Here's how:

• Open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.
  
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

wifi icon missing on windows 10.

I tried all the suggestions listed beforehand and my wifi icon has gone from the notifications area as well as the list in the settings for the task bar and notification area. does anyone know how to get it back? none of the suggestions so far have worked.

 

problem in checking signal strength of wifi

Hi

I have Lumia 710, when i connect my phone through WIFI, it shows an WiFi connectivity icon on top, which is always full. but sometimes due to low signal unable to access the internet, but that time also, WiFi icon shows full strength, while if i go in WiFi
setting, there it shows the real signal which notifies too low.

so how can i see the signal strength on my home screen as other phone displays, without going in WiFi setting?

It is very painful to go in the wifi setting just to examine the signal strength.
