Windows 10: Wifi turns off on startup after enabling virtualization and vt-d in bios

I installed virtualbox and needed to enable virtualisation and vt-d option in bios.

After that wifi keeps turning off on startup and have to find a different solution every time I boot my PC on.


Here are the solutions that I've gone through.


1. untick hyper-v hypervior under hyper-v platform in windows features. (wifi started working then stopped after starting pc next day)


2. disable 'new DMA devices when this computer is locked' under Bitlocker Drive Encryption via gpedit.msc. (wifi started working then stopped after starting pc next day)


3. untick 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' under power management via network adapters. (wifi started working then stopped after starting pc next day)


4. enter command prompt (admin) type 'netsh winsock reset catalog' and 'netsh int ip reset reset.log hit'. (wifi started working then stopped after starting pc next day)


5. update wifi driver.


Now no. 4 is the only option that I can use wifi but I have to try at least a couple time to get it working, (takes about 20 min to fix) I'm desperately looking for a permanent solution.

What is intel vt d in bios and do I have to enable that as well?


Inching closer to experimenting with a virtual machine using Hyper V and while I have virtualization enabled in the bios the second entry is not. Does intel vt d in the bios need to be enabled as well? TIA.

How To Enable VT-x (Virtual Technology) Without BIOS!

Hi.I am just wondering if you could help. I was tring to run a Virtual Machine, For Testimg. But, when I try to load up an OS, Like Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows Vista, I get a message saying. 'You Have VT-x Disabled in the BIOS -- However, My BIOS
doesn't have an option to ENABLE VT-x, So How Can I Do It.

Virtualization enabled in bios but not working


Hi there,

I am trying to run a program which recommends enabling hardware visualization. I have followed the steps to enable Intel VT in uemi/bios menu. However Task Manager says that Virtualization is disabled, despite the fact that I have turned it on in the uemi/bios??

I don't have any anti virus software, I don't have Hyper-V (windows 10 home edition, upgraded from Windows 7).

Please help
