  1. Wifi won't connect to any IPv4 address after the last update

Like the title says, after the last time my computer installed a windows update, I can no longer connect to any IPv4 address. IPv6 is working fine.

    • things I've tried
    • reinstalling the driver for the wifi adapter
    • used a different adapter
    • manually set my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    • restarting the router
    • reset the dns settings and getting a new ip address, following a guide online using the command prompt
    • uninstalling the last few windows updates
    • disabling the windows firewall

At this point I have no idea what the problem is, and outside of reinstalling the os I'm not sure what to do. Anyone have any ideas, or seen this kind of problem before?

I know I have an IPv4 address, but when I try to connect to one it either says it can't find the host or the domain name doesn't exist.

static IPv4 wifi address while ethernet uses IPv6 address?

A machine running 64-bit win10 belongs to one WorkGroup, connects to the LAN via EtherNet for speed but it must be available via wifi also, so both connections are open.
For an Android device to access an app served by a webapp served on the win10 machine, the win10 machine needs a fixed IP address. The Android device seems to understand only IPv4 addresses, When the win10 machine's EtherNet connection is IPv6, it's apparently impossible to give it a static wifi IPv4 address.
    How do I solve this?

Wifi won't connect to any IPv4 address after the last update

    IPv4 and IPv6 Connectivity?

yep, IPv6 is provided by your ISP, as mentioned they won`t implement it until they have to.

It`s nothing special, it`s just more ip addresses because they are running out of the IPv4 type.
