Windows 10: Wifi wont stay connected and lags my computer

Although this has been happening for a while now, I can remember a time when this problem wasn't on my computer. My computer lags, no matter what I'm doing, and the wi-fi goes to 'No internet, Secured' right after. I've tried many solutions to fix it, but none of them seems to work. Every time I use the troubleshooter, it states the problem as being 'the default gateway is not available'.

I'm sorry, I don't have any fancy titles or list of accomplishments, but I do know that the key to solving a problem with a computer is to identify what's causing the problem. That's more likely to result in a solution than hopeful guessing or copying and
pasting from a list of generic procedures, which appear to be the preferred methods in this forum.

Naturally, it's tempting to say "fix it, Microsoft" but your WiFi problem(s) could have nothing at all to do with Microsoft. There are many components to a WiFi signal. If you want a real solution, one that actually solves the problem, you have to be willing
to analyze step-by-step. No magic bullets.

To start, you need to define your problem, as specifically as you can. "WiFi won't stay on" doesn't provide anyone with enough information to help you. Is the problem that you can't connect to the internet? Or maybe you can connect to the internet, but you
can't share within your local network? Or maybe your printer says 'offline?' All these are separate problems with separate solutions, most of which have nothing to do with Microsoft. Or maybe your problem is something else entirely?

This much I can tell you from experience: If you adopt a methodical analysis, not only will you solve your problem, you'll understand how things work a whole lot better. On the other hand, if you adopt my previous approach - which was to fold my arms and
say "fix it, Microsoft" - you get nowhere.

 

Buluetooth wont stay connected

I appreciate your response, I completed the steps given in the link you provided (both options) again without success. Bluetooth still shows paired with my device but will not stay connected for more than about 3 seconds. Would you possibly have any other
suggestions?
