Hi, I made the mistake of trusting an online video on "How to download OptiFine for Minecraft 1.20.6" when I later realized OptiFine didn't even release that yet. Well anyway that's besides the point. I was taken to a file sharing website or so it seemed and I thought it was legit It was this: I opened the link on my phone since my laptop is currently undergoing the resetFirst question: I'm not sure if the reset will completely remove the trojan malware/virus and if it doesn't what should I do? How can I tell that it isn't removed?I downloaded Malwarebytes and it proceeded to detect 57 thr

Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  
• What happens when you select cloud download option for reset?
  
• Do you get any error while trying to reset PC using cloud?
  
• Do you use Wi-Fi or wired connection for internet?
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  

Please provide more information regarding the issue

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to perform a clean installation of Windows on PC, you can refer the section Clean install of Windows 10 using installation media from the article Reinstall Windows 10

Note: Performing a clean installation will remove all the applications/programs. Hence before doing that, please backup your important data at least on an external hard disk

Windows 11 reinstall

Hi there I'm using a dell inspiron 3501.

I always experience BSODs in my windows 11 PC. So now I'm trying to reinstall windows 11. I have backed up all the important files as well...

But at the moment I am confused whether should I reset my PC by removing all the files or clean install or a fresh start. Can you give me any suggestion and how the method actually works and the steps that I should follow to reinstall windows 11?
