Will a DVD ISO work with new SSD install?

Hello I have an hp G60-447CL notebook which I just purchased a Crucial 525G SSD for and I am trying to make sure that the DVD ISO I made using windows will reinstall windows on my new SSD after I change it out. I know about cloning my hard drive but I am not interested in that, I would rather have a fresh install. Also I would just like to be certain that the SSD will still show that my windows10 is registered(legal). Any insight will be appreciated thank you

    :)

  2. Windows 10 installation problems.

I have a hp desktop that I want to upgrade to windows 10 so I bought a new ssd for windows 10. So I went on microsoft website to download the creation tool for windows 10 to make a iso to mount on DVD to install on the new ssd. So I connected the ssd and
booted off the dvd and it didn't worked after I got to the Installing windows copying windows file it froze. What is the problem?

Windows 10 anniversary edition update problem - disk space

This worked like a champ! Many thanks.

As suggested I downloaded the ISO file (to my USB 3.0 Hard Drive, as I don't have a DVD Writer on this computer), then I MOUNTED the ISO file, and selected Setup.exe.
Fantastic! It all installed, rather quickly to my SSD Drive. It did leave a Windows.old on the SSD which I removed promptly (using Microsoft Disk Cleanup, selecting System files button) after verifying that the new release/update worked OK.

    Hello artislee,

You could use ShowKeyPlus to write down your key code: ShowKeyPlus
Enter the keycode during the Windows installation, or alternatively after the installation has completed and you are logged in: press WINDOWS KEY + R. then type "slui" and enter your code there.
