Windows 10: Will a factory reset delete all data from all accounts?

I have a Windows 11. I want to perform a factory reset, but I'm not sure if it will delete the data from my mom's account, which is on both my and her computer. If I do reset it, will it delete her data too?

Cannot access my User Account on local machine but can access Admin account. Need help finding password but NOT reset it as it will delete saved data.

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

If you reset the local account password it will not delete the Saved data.

I suggest you to back up the saved data and files from the admin account and try to reset the password and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to reset the password.

  Press Windows + R.
  
• 
  Type netplwiz and press enter.
  
• 
  Select the user account.
  
• 
  Click on Reset Password.

Factory Reset will remove your data including the updates you installed and will restore it to factory defaults.

To delete user account, you can try these steps:

1. Open Settings app and tap/click Accounts.

2. In Accounts section, select Family & other people. Under Other people, click/tap on the user account you want to delete and choose Remove.

3. For the confirmation prompt appearing next, select Delete account and data and this should erase the user account completely.
