Windows 10: Will a reset revert to initial windows version?

Hi, idk what's been going on but my laptop has crashed many times today. I've received multiple error codes as well hypervisor, stopcode, critical process died, srttrail - more on this later but it's all been in chinese so I've been super lost and flustered about what the blue screens are saying. I ran micrososft defender earlier and nothing came up in terms of a virus. It might be a problem with the hardware itself but safe mode's been ok. Edit: nvm got a new error in safe mode: system thread exception not handledAnyway I'm regrettably considering doing a reset, but since I have one drive I

Revert back to previous versions

I installed Windows 10 1 week ago and need to revert to windows 8.1. I have tried both of your suggestion to revert and a) do not have a 'revert to windows 8.1' listing on my settings-restore page and b) when I restart the PC holding the shift key and
select 'revert to previous build' I get a WDF Violation error and the system restarts Windows 10. There is a windows.old folder. I'm stuck, what can I do to restore Windows 8.1?
