Windows 10: Will all the update progress be wasted if the computer goes to sleep in the middle of the...

If I have updates being installed on my PC and I leave it as it is for the updates to continue downloading and installing and then if in the middle of the downloading and installing of the updates my computer sleeps, will the updates be stopped (and all the till then downloaded and installed files be turned into junk) and have to be restarted or will they continue from the point where they were before the computer slept. If they will continue, will this not effect the updates or corrupt the files?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below if not tried already and check if it helps.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>System>Power & sleep.
• In the right pane, select Never from the drop down list for
  Screen and Sleep.
• Close the dialog box and check for status.

Maybe you have something configured to sleep when idle. Check that on your power settings.
