    Would it help to play a version of Hoyle Card Games Classic circa around 2008 by seeing if compatibilty mode can switch to Windows 10?

    Just bought a PC with an Intel i5, lots of ram, etc. and Windows 10. Downloaded Hoyle Card Game Classic, this version from about 2007/2008. It installed completetly, and it plays pretty good, BUT it hangs or just freezes while playing. I am looking for
    any suggestions on making it quit freezing up. Is it a sleep/hibernation situation? Only way to "unfreeze it" seems to work from there is Task Manager, and closing it. Is there a way to ask it to run in compatibility mode for Windows 10? Or do we need to get
    a newer version of the game? Thanks!

    Hoyle Games 2008 in Windows 10

    For the third time all my Hoyle games (2008 versions) have stopped working after windows installed an update. I get the message "This application is not compatible with the installed operating system. Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better."
    Using compatibility mode gives the same message. The first two times this happened, I completely purges my system of all Hoyle files and reloaded the software and it worked again. Didn't help this time!

    I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 10.0.14393 Build 14393 on an HP 8200. Any ideas?

    Update: game is working 100% and no lockups or stalls. This was a 2007/2008 game release. Hoyle/Encore Games Card Game Classic with the Bear, Dinosaur and the Alien you can play Crazy Eights with..
