Windows 10: Will Edge Chromium migrate user data from Old Edge after Windows update?

I have been using Old Edge as my main browser since it came out in 2015. Hence I have all my bookmarks, cookies, passwords etc. there. (But no sync with MS account for privacy reasons.)

Edge Chromium, when manually installed, used to copy everything from Google Chrome. That why I'm concerned about losing the data from Old Edge. I do have Chrome installed, but I use it as my work browser (and I do intent to keep it that way).

Anyone who similarly used Old Edge before the update, and updated to 2004, did you have the option to migrate your data from Old Edge to Edge Chromium?

Will the mooted "offline" Reading List feature that was included in Edge HTML but never fully activated be added to Edge Chromium?

(I did get one reply to a question I posed, I think back in 2015,on the promised offline capability that reply said simply and unequivocably

In my opinion it is a pretty useless add on anyway. because in EdgeHTML it does nothing that adding a URL to the Favorites list already does and now tht Edge Chromium sensibly includes an Internet Exploder like facility to Save a webpage complete you can
save the whole webpage for off line viewing i.e.reading anyway

Copying over peoples data manually and trying to get their user experience over is tedious and will never be a success, really.

A ton of work and mediocre results is what it will get you..

Migration in general

We use USMTGUI. It is basically a GUI utilizing USMT. It is however professional SW so you must pay for it.

But as it is quite cheap and includes premium support it really is an easy choice.

We use it EVERY day and has for several years.

The latest corporate versions from Autumn 2019 onward even migrates profiles to Azure

Also USMTGUI has, since autumn 2019, been capable of migrating favorites etc. for the new Edge Chromium.

Credentials

Favorites from Edge, Chromium Edge, Chrome and Firefox ( + Chrome and Firefox credentials) are easily migrated.

The reason you cannot migrate Edge and Chromium Edge credentials directly, is that those credentials are stored in the "Credential Manager" and they're not MEANT to be copied. - If they were, the credential manager wouldn't be worth much ;-)

To migrate Credentials stored in the "Credential Manager" you basically need to export them, for instance to desktop, logged in as the user. Then move them over with USMTGUI, along with the users data and, import the credentials after logging in as the user..
