Windows 10: Will it be fine if I used my old boot drive nvme to a new motherboard?

Hello, I'm asking If I should still use my old boot drive to a new motherboard, I'm still gonna buy from the same brand Asus just a different model, my old motherboard model was "Asus Prime B450M-A II" now I am currently looking to buy the "Asus TUF Gaming B450M-PRO II".

Is it okay to switch my old nvme to a new motherboard, because my old motherboard broke down duo to corrosion, I'm stills buying the same model of the motherboard, I'm asking if it's okay to use my old boot drive nvme without erasing anything on it?

Windows is very adaptable to new hardware, but sometimes Windows cannot adjust to the new hardware, in your case if the motherboard is the same model, then there will be no problem, Windows should be able to successfully boot from the NVMe.

The problem you will most likely encounter is activation, were did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

 

Installing new NvMe drive and using it as primary boot runnig windows 10

I have a preinstalled windows 10 along with 30+ apps(both from manufacturer and third party) running on my desktop. I recently bought the Samsung 960 evo NvMe drive and would like to use it as my new boot drive. I know that I have to create a bootable usb
drive, disconnect all other SSD/HDD, leave only the NvMe drive, install windows on it and then reconnect all the drives back.

I would like to understand how I could create an ISO image of my preinstalled windows 10(along with all the updates, hardware drivers and apps) and make a bootable USB out of it. Is it possible? if so, could anyone list the steps needed or point me to a
thread or post online? Thank you.
