Windows 10: Will it be fine to use my old boot drive nvme to a new motherboard

Hello, I'm wondering if I could use my old boot drive nvme to my new board, my old board broke down because of corrosion, I'm buying from the same brand AsusMy old motherboard was Asus b450m A-IIThe one in currently looking to buy is the Asus B450m Pro Tuf

Is it okay to switch my old nvme to a new motherboard, because my old motherboard broke down duo to corrosion, I'm stills buying the same model of the motherboard, I'm asking if it's okay to use my old boot drive nvme without erasing anything on it?

Windows is very adaptable to new hardware, but sometimes Windows cannot adjust to the new hardware, in your case if the motherboard is the same model, then there will be no problem, Windows should be able to successfully boot from the NVMe.

The problem you will most likely encounter is activation, were did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

 

I've installed Windows on new nvme drive but now I've got a dual boot.

I've installed Windows on new nvme drive but now I've got a dual boot. It seems fine to just select the new one. But i thought it might be best to delete the old one. When i disconnected it or tried to change the boot order in bios i got a grub error. It's working now as i managed to get back into bios and put the boot order back. I think certain boot drives are still on old hard drive. Should i install boot drives on the new nvme? If so what do you think would be best for that? Or should i disconnect old hard drive start pc and go into bios to install windows again onto new drive? Chances are I'll get the grub error but i think i can still get into bios Thanks
