Will limiting when Robocopy operates still affect Win10 performance?

I'm interested in using RoboCopy to synchronize folders & files. When I researched the syntax for switches, I came across:
/MON:n :: MONitor source; run again when more than n changes seen.
/MOT:m :: MOnitor source; run again in m minutes Time, if changed.

However, it seems that doing so would slow Windows 10 performance, as Robocopy would be monitoring all the time. I also saw that using

/RH:hhmm-hhmm :: Run Hours - times when new copies may be started

would limit when it made copies. I was wondering if any knows whether that can also limit when the first 2 switches that monitor changes. If it did, then I assume that I could schedule this at night when I'm not at the computer. Otherwise, I guess there'd be a performance hit on Windows 10 all the time.

Does anyone know whether the 3rd switch would limit when Robocopy monitors the source?

Thank you again for such a great forum!!

    :)

How many files are you monitoring as thats the key if its 20 RC would take a split second. I use the modern way were I using Google sync which uploads files as soon as they change so its monitoring all the time and you dont see any reduced performance and that monitors 50,000 files it has the sense to stop copying if the cpu is under heavey load.

If you limit RC to do it at certain times then its simpler to just run mirror at night.

Thank you so much for this information. I plan to monitor a couple hundred files. Hate to sound dumb, but I was unaware that Google sync could apply to a pc. Does this require an app to download? I'm not trying to sync on my iPhone.
