Will my Dell Studio 1558 upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. And will it work properly ?

It is 2010 model Dell Studio 1558 laptop with Intel i5 (2.27Ghz) processor; 4Gb memory and 500Gb Hard Drive (300Gb free space). The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. The only modification made to the machine was an addition of 2Gb of memory to the original
2Gb about 2 years ago.

 

Upgrading Dell Studio 1558 to Windows 10

Im using Dell Studio 1558 too. After install Wins10, i found that my screen display is not as sharp as before And the display is too bright even though i set it low.

I am Adobe illustrator user, most of the shortcut key is not working... really need help on it.

Hello. I have a 2010 Dell Studio 1558 laptop with Intel i5 (2.27Ghz) processor; 4Gb memory and 500Gb Hard Drive (300Gb free space). The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium and I have received the logo from Microsoft advising me that I can upgrade to Windows
10. It also tells me that my PC is ready to upgrade. When I try to upgrade, Windows 10 downloads without problem and goes through the configuration process ok and completes what seems to be part of the installation process (where there is a circle in the
middle of the screen). However, at a certain point, the screen goes blank and the PC shuts down completely. When I restart the PC, it restores the Windows 7. At first I thought that the shutdown might be part of the installation process, but on the second
attempt I left the PC for over 30 minutes before restarting, with the same result. There are no error messages, or codes, or any other pointer as to the reason for the upgrade failure. I would be very grateful for advice on this issue. Thank You.
