Windows 10: will not connect to internet

I am trying to get a friends laptop to connect to internet, it would not connect at his house or office.
I have connected it to my network, I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops all connecting fine.
He has edge and firefox, neither connects.
I have disabled windows firewall and webroot, (paid copy), not the free.
I ran ccleaner, Malwarebytes, and mrt.
My internet is fine so I am guessing it is a setting in his laptop.
HP pavilion, i3 processor, I am sure I am missing something simple but it is a long time since I tried internet settings.

Have you rebooted the router?

If you go to a free wifi hotspot are you able to connect?

 

E90 will not connect to Internet

I have something i did and i think does work with me ,,, all u need to do is make the update the firmware again

and reinstall the firmware ,, then when install evrything ,, dont restor the system u installed before on the old one,,

only restore messages , notes , all except programs ,,,need to be install again as fresh copy with e90 and new firmware , is not bad is fix me some issue happend like slow respond and slow gprs ,,etc...

any idea if works with u ,, but remember to take off your memory card and test it as i said ,, is works with me perfectly
