    Will not go beyond blue screen


    I am getting more and more freaked out. My computer keeps starting with the blue "select a keyboard" screen. Then a screen that has two options: "Troubleshoot" or "turn off your PC". Nothing in the advanced troubleshooting options works. I keep trying to troubleshoot repairs in Command Prompt to no avail. Ive tried several "fixes" i've found online chkdsk, scan disk, etc. I cannot get this HP Pavilion with Windows 10 to boot normally! I need this laptop so i can work from home during this covid-19 crisis. Does anyone have a solution?

    Startup Blue Screen

    Hi Jon,

    Startup blue screen error(s) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. It could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device software drivers
    • Corrupted Windows update system files
    • Software/Security conflicts

    We would like to know some information:

    • Did you get any blue screen stop error codes?
    • Have you tried booting in Safe mode?

    I have tried all of the options there, Which is why i included in my post the lists of things that i performed to isolate the cause of bsod. Thanks
