  1. Will reinstalling windows delete my Dynamic Striped Volume?

    Hey friends,

I'm new to the windows world and loving it. With mac, i was able to create software raid-0 sets that one could move from computer to computer. Is this case with the dynamic striped volume? Meaning, If I reinstall windows on my boot drive, is my raid still intact?

I'm using raid zero for speed, we have 3 other copies of this project, but it takes 4 days to copy over. haha

    Thanks!

    Ryan

Striped 0 Windows 10 RAID - will be affected by OS reinstall?

I setup a Raid 0 stripe volume between 3 seperate drives in WIndows 10 disk management. If I reinstall the OS of Windows 10 that's on a seperate SSD, will it affect the raid 0 since that was initially created in Windows 10? Will the stripe 0 volume still be there after reinstall?

  3. Cannot create striped volume

    Hello all,

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 1809. I have to 2TB hard drives that I want to set up as a striped volume(4TB total) so I can use it as a file history backup drive. The problem is that once I convert them to dynamic disks and set them as a single striped volume
I get an error that says that the format failed. I tried to use the command line tool to format them as I've seen in different support sites but none of them work. anyone have a clue as to what I'm missing??? if you need more info on this please don't hesitate
    to ask.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jay

  4. Will reinstalling windows delete my Dynamic Striped Volume?

    Reinstalled windows, raid 0 gone.

I have 3 drives, one for the OS and another two in raid 0 that was achieved with the "new striped volume" in Disk management.

after formatting C and installing windows again (this time windows 10 pro instead of Home) I opened This PC and could not see my other drives. in disk management the're listed as dynamic and foreign.

in hindsight I should have guessed that maybe the new OS won't be able to recognize those 2 drives as striped volumes, but is there a way to fix it and restore my data?
