Windows 10: Will Reseting my Windows 10 create Windows.old Folder?

Hi i want to reset my windows 10. but i am not sure will my documents and downloads folder be deleted or not?Like installing new operating system creates a windows.old folder where my all data restores.will reseting my pc do the same?please someone help

Hi I have just reset my daughters laptop to factory settings and updated it to windows 8.1 on the hard drive I have a windows folder and an old windows folder can I get rid of the old windows folder and how would I get rid of it, as I am not used to win 8.
