HP Envy All in One desktop Windows 11 Home - 24H2 . Ive had this p.c. for about a year. Ive been having problems with my audio popping/skipping every couple of second since maybe beginning of Jan '25. I think it started after an auto Windows update. I have tried everything suggested in online groups etc and nothing helps. A couple of days ago I hooked up with MS online help where the tech tried two times in over 30 mins to fix it. When nothing worked, I was told I then have to get help from a tech on Level 2 . No one is available until Friday at 9 pm my time and i guess he will call

    :)

    Sign in without p/w issue

Did a clean install of Windows 10 and updated it to the version shown.
Trying to eliminate the need for p/w at sign in, I ran netplwiz as I have always done.

Top USER ACCOUNTS is from the Install I've been upgrading for a long time
Bottom USER ACCOUNTS is from today's clean install on another machine

    There is no:
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" to uncheck
    in the clean install
I have never seen this before and can't by pass the sign in p/w step

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Administrator problems, reset issues and c drive access denial.

    Hello I am Rayan

It sounds like you're facing several issues related to administrator problems, reset issues, and access denial to the C drive on your computer. Here are some steps you can take to address these issues:

    Administrator Problems:

    1. Check Your Account: Make sure that your user account has administrator privileges. You can do this by going to "Control Panel" > "User Accounts" > "User Accounts" > "Manage User Accounts." Ensure your account is listed as an administrator.
    2. Create a New Administrator Account: If your current account is having issues, try creating a new administrator account. Log in with the new account and see if the problems persist.
    Reset Issues:

    1. System Restore: Use System Restore to revert your system to a previous state when it was working fine. You can access this feature through "Control Panel" > "Recovery" > "Open System Restore."
    2. Reset This PC: On Windows 10, you can perform a "Reset This PC" operation to reinstall Windows without losing your files. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Recovery" > "Reset this PC."
    C Drive Access Denial:

    1. Check Permissions: Right-click on the C drive, go to "Properties," and then to the "Security" tab. Ensure your user account has the necessary permissions. You may need to take ownership of the drive.
    2. Command Prompt (Run as Administrator): Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command to check and repair system files:

    3. Disk Cleanup and Check Disk: Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:

    4. Safe Mode: Boot into Safe Mode and check if you can access the C drive without issues. This helps identify if the problem is caused by third-party software.
    Additional Steps:

    1. Malware Scan: Run a thorough antivirus and anti-malware scan to ensure your system is not infected.
    2. Update Drivers: Ensure that your system drivers are up-to-date, especially graphics and storage drivers.
    3. Windows Update: Make sure your operating system is fully updated through Windows Update.
    4. Hardware Issues: Check for any hardware issues, such as a failing hard drive, which could be causing the problems.
If the issues persist after trying these steps, you may need to seek further assistance from a technical expert or Microsoft support. Always ensure you have a backup of important data before making significant changes to your system.

    Note:

After you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps from section “How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting” to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Run the SFC.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Open Command Prompt.
    • Select “Run as Administrator”.
    • Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit
      Enter.
    Now check for the issue.
