Windows 10: Will SeaTools for Dos recognize usb hard drives ?

Discus and support Will SeaTools for Dos recognize usb hard drives ? in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; Trying to run down an issue with my WIN 10 Pro 64bit system.     Will SeaTools for Dos recognize usb hard drives ?


    Trying to run down an issue with my WIN 10 Pro 64bit system. If I run SeaTools for DOS off a CD...all I can get are my sata/ide drives. My problem external drive is a Seagate USB 2T...but none of my usb external drives show up under Seatools for Dos ?

    Is it me or is this normal ?

    After Installing Windows 10, Freezes At Random Times on Any Browser

    SeaTools for a USB Drive said it couldn't find a hard drive lol. It is a WD 1TB hard drive.

    Help! I can't backup my computer!

    Run the hard drive maker's
    HD Diagnostic     extended CD scan.

    If your hard drive maker doesn't have diagnostics then use
    SeaTools for a USB Drive     or
    SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use.

    If the hard drive fails diagnostics and Disk Check then replace it.

    The best upgrade one can have nowadays is an SSD, which is lightning fast, even faster than buying a new higher end PC without one. Use the opportunity to do the best possible install compiled in

    The basic issue is that DOS doesn't recognize USB although there are programs/add-ins available on the Internet that can accomplish that.
