Windows 10: Will the $30 ESU be available for Windows 10 PRO, not home?

Will the $30 ESU also be available for Windows 10 PRO? I want to stick with Windows 10 until the dust settles

Unclear about Windows 7 Professional available for ESU

I have two machines running Windows 7 Professional. They are connected to scientific equipment that will not have compliant software available until 2021. The machines are connected to a network/internet. Is the ESU plan available for Windows 7 Professional
machines as listed in the ESU documents? If so, how can I purchase it? We are a small business and do not have volume pricing or enterprise planning.

Thanks Bill. Until we can actually buy the software and install it on the machine, I will be nervous. However, the article from ZDnet seems to indicate that we will be able to do this at a price of $50 per machine for the first year. Whether the CSP partner
is a direct sale or not, we shall see. I don't need a cloud-based solution. FYI the ESU FAQ documents lead towards Professional only being available, so I am hoping it will come to fruition.

"Microsoft is making Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESUs) available to more customers. Instead of making them available to larger companies with volume licensing agreements only, Microsoft is going
to make ESUs available to businesses of any size, officials announced on October 1.

Beginning December 1, 2019, small-and-midsize businesses
(SMBs) also will be able to purchase ESUs if they are not going to be ready to get off Windows 7 as of January 14, 2020, which is the date Microsoft will end free support (and security updates) for the product. SMBs will be able to get the ESUs for up
to three years by purchasing them from qualified Cloud Solution Provider partners, officials said.

Before today, Windows 7 ESUs were only going to be available to Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise customers with volume licensing arrangements."

 

Windows 7 ESU

ESU are available ONLY to businesses (although Microsoft's definition of "business" is pretty wide). And it appears that ESU will be available through January 2023.
