Windows 10: will the latest update get fixed?

Hi, I've lost many many hours trying to get access to our network after I installed the latest update. It was resolved after uninstalling that particular update; all my network was there again.Now I'm too scared to even do any updates as I don't want to have to go through all that again.Why does Microsoft think it's a good idea to make those changes, is it so THEY can take control of your computer.Not at all happy having to pay for a service that doesn't even work.The lady that was helping me from MS could not understand either why it was this way; I showed her after setting my computer back t

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

Yeah, I've been noting it for months on the refusenik thread. They do NOT want anything older than 10 running.

I still have an HTPC on W7, and every other month I have to fix the update agent in order to get all updates. SMH....

You provided a good step by step fix. I've bookmarked it for future reference.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
