Windows 10: Will the Rode VideoMicro work if i connect it to PC as normal PC microphone?

I buy a new microphone Rode VideoMicro with normal 3,5mm Jack and i would like to ask if this microphone will work with my PC Windows 10 Pro and Realtek soundcard.

Rode Podcaster not working win 10

Hi guys, I have a rode podcaster I cannot get working on a windows 10 machine.

everything is up to date. here is the spec:





Ive download the rode ASIO drivers as well as the setup utility from rode. None of it works.

The PC recognised the mic, but picks up zero sound. Ive troubleshooter, nothing there.

Any suggestions?

Looking to buy a PC microphone

I'd like to get a microphone to connect to my PC. It only needs to be suitable for voice use and quality.

I currently have a headset and the mike works but is clumsy to use.

Would a USB mike be OK or does it need to be connected by a 3.5mm jack?

Any suggestions?
