Windows 10: Will using a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter allow me to 'cast' to a Sky Glass TV?

I ask because the Sky Glass TV's aren't technically classed as 'Smart TV's' Sky's own words, meaning the traditional 'Cast to device' option doesn't show on my Windows 11 PC. So would the use of a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter solve this issue?Many thanks.

Absolutely. Have you already plugged the wireless display adapter into your TV?

You should be able to cast to the tv without an issue.

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 - Devices not connecting

Hi,

We are trying to use a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 so that we can cast our notebook to a screen.

We have plugged in the adapter to the TV and it is showing that it is ready to connect, but when we try to cast from the notebook it attempts to connect, even shows on the TV "username is trying to connect" but then nothing happens.

No connection is made, it returns back to the "home" screen and on the notebook it says that it failed to connect.

We have tried changing the notebooks Wi-Fi band to 2.4ghz and 5ghz, also tried reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter but still it doesn't connect.

The strange thing is that it allows us to connect to the Wireless Display Adapter v2 with an Android device perfectly, just not the notebook which is running Windows 10 and is fully up to date.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could try?

 

Display on TV through Microsoft Wireless Adapters

I have installed Microsoft wireless adapter on TV and project laptop screen on it. It has displayed laptop display on TV with full. It was working perfectly from a month.

Now, the display on TV has changed to shorter screen instead of full TV screen. I have checked every possible display setting but the display has remain short.

I request community members to suggest setting(s).
