    Hello, I am Ayush Kumar from India and want to upgrade to windows 11 but due to my old pc version and 3rd gen cpu, I am not able to do so, so I am looking forward to Microsoft to launch a version that supports old pcs also and I want to know if it will do so or not.

    Hi,

    there have been some big security Upgrades with Intel 8th gen CPUs. (Namely Spectre and Meltdown mitigations, support for hardware-based HVCI, etc.)

    It is unlikely that MS will make Windows 11 available for older CPUs at any point in the future.

    Windows 11 Will Not Install

    Long as your rig has an 8th gen Intel or AM4 or better CPU and lots of RAM Windows 11 should install fine

    SATA SSD suggest your machine may be an older 4th or 5th gen machine which is not compatible'

    8th Gen Intel Core Processor-Powered PCs

    CPU tech moves so damn fast anymore. I wonder how much real world performance difference there will be between the 8th Gen and the older 4th Gen CPUs of same spec (cores, freq, etc.)
