    Good morning,I have a laptop on a static network. The onboard NIC is set to static and using 172.17.17.231. The laptop a Dell 5420 has MAC Address Pass-Through enabled for when it is connected to a docking station. When I configure the Pass-Through connection with the same parameters as the onboard NIC, I get a warning message that both NICS have the same IP address and asks if I want to fix it. Even when I say that I do not want to fix it by clicking No and then saving it, the IP address and the subnet mask are blanked out.Is this a Windows feature that is preventing this and if so, is the

    Assigning Static IP Address Range in a Router

    yep, pretty much all.

    for point #2 if you are having difficulty binding static IP in the router, it is ok to set static IP in the camera instead - just make sure you take a note on which IP is which camera so that you wouldnt put the wrong IP in the port forwarding.


    am not sure what you meant. you don't need ddns to access the camera locally (from inside your LAN) *Confused Will Windows 11 prevent two NICS on the same laptop from having the same static IP address :confused:

    Static IP on Lumia 950.

    Hi,

    Follow the steps below and check if the features to apply static IP is available in your device.

    • Navigate to settings.
    • Search or navigate to “Wi-Fi”.
    • Scroll all the way down and tap “static ip”.
    • Turn on “Configure network settings manually”.
    • Key in the IP address, subnet mask and other details

    Note: Do remember that your router / DHCP should support allocating static IP for this feature to work.

    If the above feature is not available then your model may not support the same.

    IP Connect to Static IP

    I have an A-V device with a static IP address. With my XP-Pro laptop, I can connect fine, but with my new laptop running WIN10Pro, I can't seem to find the right combination of settings to"see" the device. The static IP allows control of the A-V device's app., with the app. showing when it "see's" the app. on the XP machine, but nothing I do let's that same IP address show up on the WIN10 machine. Can anyone suggest some possible fixes ?
